About the Database

Oxford Art Online is is one of the databases subscribed to through the Gulliver consortium.

Oxford Art Online is a visual arts encyclopedia comprised of "Grove Art Online" (online version of the 34 volumed "Grove Dictionary of Art"), "The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics", "The Oxford Companion to Western Art" and "The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms". It covers all aspects of Western and Non-Western visual art - from Aboriginal Australian Art through to Zygouries ( a Bronze Age settlement in Greece) and Architecture through to Zincograph. It has over 5000 images in the database and links through to all the great museums of the world.
